INTRODUCING JESS AND DYLAN
JESS AND DYLAN - “THE WEDDING DAY GAME CHANGERS”
When Jess first emailed me about her July beachside wedding I knew this wedding was set to be something bold and special. A couple deciding to think outside the box - stepping away from the typical and the normal and doing something that they felt was their own.
A black marquee, black candles, soft winter tones in their florals - a look that came together as sharp, slick and unique. In these forever changing times there is something to be said for those who look for new ways of doing things (adapt and you’ll win!).
A winter beachside wedding may sound crazy to some but to Jess and Dylan this was everything they wished for. The rain didn’t dampen a thing - in fact it created its own spectacle. Looking out to Hot Water Beach, hardly a breath of wind and a soft grey and muted sky as the back drop for their reception.
Seeing Jess and Dylans guests walk into a candle lit marquee with dark wooden tables, while the sun slowly set and the rain softly fell on the roof of their reception just showed how genius their wedding day plans really were. Their guests all arrived into their reception blown away, mouths open! - A romantic scene people fantasize about but very few actually commit to.
After seeing their day come to life my advice is think different and adapt - trust your vendors and your vision.
If you have to rethink your guest numbers or time of year take it as an exciting change.
It may mean you get to break trends and tailor the day to make it your own.
